The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced A-Level Biology and History Tutor to provide high-quality tuition in Reigate. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and with a strong background in working with students with SEN. You will make a meaningful impact through personalized and supportive teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A-Level Biology and History tuition to students in Reigate
  • Apply the Bright Heart Approach to support students with special educational needs
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and education consultants
  • Attend training sessions and follow safeguarding and tutoring standards
  • Provide regular progress updates and feedback to stakeholders
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to enhance engagement and learning outcomes
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • At least 12 months of relevant tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong subject knowledge in A-Level Biology and History
  • University qualification or currently studying for one, along with A-levels
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Valid Enhanced DBS certificate (with children’s barred list check)
  • Ability to provide 2 professional references and a parent reference

Preferred

  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred teaching methods
  • Previous involvement in SEN training or education programs
  • Flexibility to work both in-person and online
  • Experience with curriculum-based tutoring and interim education
