A-Level Biology and History Tutors needed with morning availability and SEN experience.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking experienced A-Level Biology and History tutors with excellent communication skills and availability in the mornings. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives through personalized tutoring and SEN support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality A-Level Biology and History tuition to students with special educational needs
- Apply the Bright Heart Approach to build trust, confidence, and academic progress
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and education consultants
- Prepare and deliver engaging and structured lessons aligned with curriculum requirements
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents on progress and learning outcomes
- Attend training sessions and follow safeguarding and child protection policies
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and learning plans
- Work flexibly with a diverse range of clients, including schools, local authorities, and private families
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong subject knowledge in A-Level Biology and History
- A university qualification or currently studying for one, with A-levels
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
- A current Enhanced DBS certificate with a check of the children’s barred list
- Two relevant professional references and a parent reference
Preferred
- Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred tutoring methods
- Experience with online and in-person tutoring
