The Opportunity:
As an A-Level Business and Economics Teacher, you will deliver one-to-one lessons tailored to the needs of students who are unable to attend mainstream school. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs through engaging and adaptable teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualised Business Studies and Economics lessons tailored to each student’s academic level and learning goals.
- Teach A-Level topics such as business principles, management, marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship.
- Adapt teaching methods to support students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
- Collaborate with pastoral teams to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Maintain detailed records of lessons and progress in accordance with educational standards.
- Deliver lessons in various locations, including students’ homes or other agreed learning environments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching Business Studies and Economics.
- Proven experience teaching A-Level Business Studies and Economics.
- Valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Strong knowledge of the Business Studies curriculum and related topics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students in a one-to-one setting.
