A-Level Business Studies Tutor needed to deliver individualised lessons to students with special educational needs.

The Opportunity:

As an A-Level Business Studies Tutor, you will deliver one-to-one lessons to students who require individualised support, helping them engage with the curriculum through tailored and accessible teaching methods. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver individualised Business Studies and Economics lessons tailored to each student’s needs and learning objectives.
  • Teach A-Level topics such as business principles, management, marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and support teams.
  • Collaborate with pastoral and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student learning.
  • Maintain detailed records of lessons and student progress in accordance with educational standards.
  • Deliver lessons in a variety of settings, including students’ homes, libraries, or other agreed locations.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience in teaching Business Studies and Economics.
  • Proven experience teaching A-Level Business Studies and Economics.
  • Valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for one-to-one teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Knowledge of SEND-specific teaching strategies.
  • Flexibility to work in various locations and adapt to different learning environments.
