The Opportunity:

As an A Level Criminology Teacher and CIT Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Criminology Team and ensuring continued student success. This role offers the chance to lead, innovate, and inspire within a supportive and dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Criminology Team to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Deliver high-quality A Level Criminology lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Design and implement effective assessment strategies that support student achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the School of Social Science to share best practices and improve curriculum delivery.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of students, young people, and vulnerable adults.
  • Support the school's commitment to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of teaching and leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in A Level Criminology.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a teaching team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective teaching strategies.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and course leadership.
  • Knowledge of vocational and T Level courses.
  • Experience with student support and pastoral care.
  • Familiarity with employer engagement and curriculum co-creation.
