Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and effective A Level Geography lessons that inspire student interest and achievement.
Plan and prepare high-quality teaching materials aligned with curriculum requirements.
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.
Collaborate with department colleagues to enhance teaching methods and student outcomes.
Support students’ personal growth and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

Minimum of one year’s experience teaching A Level Geography or equivalent further education level.
Strong subject knowledge in Geography with an up-to-date understanding of the curriculum.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to motivate students and create a positive learning environment.

Preferred

Experience with extracurricular activities or pastoral support.
Familiarity with the CLEAR Learning programme or similar character-building initiatives.
Experience working in a single-sex educational environment.
