Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective A Level Geography lessons that inspire student interest and achievement.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality teaching materials aligned with curriculum requirements.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.
  • Collaborate with department colleagues to enhance teaching methods and student outcomes.
  • Support students’ personal growth and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Engage with the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of one year’s experience teaching A Level Geography or equivalent further education level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography with an up-to-date understanding of the curriculum.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to motivate students and create a positive learning environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with extracurricular activities or pastoral support.
  • Familiarity with the CLEAR Learning programme or similar character-building initiatives.
  • Experience working in a single-sex educational environment.
