Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective A Level Geography lessons that inspire student interest and achievement.
- Plan and prepare high-quality teaching materials aligned with curriculum requirements.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to enhance teaching methods and student outcomes.
- Support students’ personal growth and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Engage with the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of one year’s experience teaching A Level Geography or equivalent further education level.
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography with an up-to-date understanding of the curriculum.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to motivate students and create a positive learning environment.
Preferred
- Experience with extracurricular activities or pastoral support.
- Familiarity with the CLEAR Learning programme or similar character-building initiatives.
- Experience working in a single-sex educational environment.
