The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced A Level History Teacher to join our expanding Sixth Form team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ futures while working in a supportive and inspiring environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about history and committed to fostering student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach A Level History to small classes of up to 12 students.
  • Provide one-to-one support sessions of 15 minutes per week with each student.
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that align with the British A Level curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leader Team to promote student well-being and academic success.
  • Support colleagues and contribute to a positive and inclusive working environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively.
  • Participate in curriculum development and staff training initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching A Level History.
  • Strong knowledge of the British A Level curriculum.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons to Key Stage 5 students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an international school setting.
  • Familiarity with teaching diverse student populations.
  • Experience with one-to-one student support and mentoring.
  • Leadership or team coordination experience.
