The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in A Level Law that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Support student progress through assessment, feedback, and tailored guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching materials and departmental initiatives.
  • Participate actively in school life and contribute positively to the wider community.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and academic excellence.
  • Stay up to date with legal developments and incorporate them into teaching practice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of one year’s experience teaching A Level Law or equivalent Law subject.
  • Strong knowledge of the A Level Law curriculum and examination requirements.
  • Ability to create stimulating lesson plans that cater for diverse learning styles.
  • Excellent communication skills with both students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Familiarity with the CLEAR Learning programme or similar character-building initiatives.
  • Experience working in a single-sex educational environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in a boarding or day school setting.
