The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced A-Level Music Technology Tutor to support students in Sunbury. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development, with a strong emphasis on working with students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality A-Level Music Technology tuition to students in Sunbury
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with special educational needs
- Provide individualized support and guidance to enhance students' confidence and motivation
- Collaborate with parents, schools, and education consultants to ensure consistent support
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and learning outcomes
- Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities
- Uphold the school's safeguarding and child protection policies
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong subject knowledge in Music Technology at A-Level
- University qualification or studying towards one and A-levels
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN)
- Current Enhanced DBS certificate (with a check of the children’s barred list)
Preferred
- Experience with the Bright Heart Approach
- Familiarity with teaching students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Experience with online and in-person tutoring
- Passion for teaching and supporting students with diverse learning needs
