The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality A Level Psychology lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and assessment procedures.
  • Support students in achieving their academic goals through personalized guidance and feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Social Science team to improve the quality of provision and student outcomes.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in A Level Psychology.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Experience in developing and delivering effective teaching and assessment strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and student success.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
  • Familiarity with the use of digital tools and resources in teaching.
  • Experience in working with diverse student groups and supporting their academic and personal development.
  • Knowledge of current trends and research in Psychology education.
