The Opportunity:

We are seeking an ABA-qualified tutor with experience working with students with severe SEN to join our team in Teddington. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students while working with a respected and award-winning organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-to-one ABA-based tuition to students with special educational needs
  • Apply the Bright Heart Approach to build trust, self-esteem, and academic progress
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans tailored to student needs
  • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and education professionals
  • Attend ongoing training and support sessions to enhance teaching practices
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and session notes
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Support students with social, emotional, and mental health needs

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • ABA qualification and relevant teaching or tutoring experience
  • At least 12 months of experience in tutoring or teaching in the UK
  • Strong subject knowledge in the relevant subject area
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Current Enhanced DBS certificate with children’s barred list check
  • Two professional references and a parent reference

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with severe special educational needs
  • Experience with the Bright Heart Approach or similar student-centred methodologies
  • Previous experience in special needs education or teaching
  • Familiarity with study techniques and lifelong skills development
