The Opportunity:

As an Academic Staff member in our Summer School, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons to students aged 8-16 from diverse backgrounds. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and international learning environment that values creativity, character development, and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, student-centred lessons in your specialist subject area.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and develop innovative and engaging course content.
  • Support students through regular progress reports and meaningful feedback.
  • Participate in a range of educational and recreational activities, including excursions and field trips.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos and success of the Summer School experience.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Engage with students in a supportive and encouraging manner.
  • Use up-to-date resources and teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching experience, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver lessons effectively.
  • Experience working with children aged 8-16.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to inclusive and character-based education.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching within a summer school or international setting.
  • Familiarity with outdoor education or experiential learning.
  • Experience in Computing or Science teaching.
  • Leadership experience, particularly in a departmental role.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
