As an Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective operations of a school that supports students with complex needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a substantial budget with attention to detail and efficiency
- Oversee Health and Safety administration to ensure compliance and a secure environment
- Lead and coordinate the Maintenance and Domestic Teams to support school operations
- Work closely with internal teams, professionals across Barnardo's, and external contacts
- Maintain strong record-keeping practices to support evidence-based decision-making
- Support the development and implementation of school policies and procedures
- Ensure effective communication across all levels of the school
- Contribute to the overall success of the school through proactive and independent work
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong record-keeping and attention to detail
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures in an educational environment
Preferred
- Experience with budget management
- Experience working within a special educational needs setting
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies
- Experience with residential or boarding school environments
