The Opportunity:

As an Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective operations of a school that supports students with complex needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a substantial budget with attention to detail and efficiency
  • Oversee Health and Safety administration to ensure compliance and a secure environment
  • Lead and coordinate the Maintenance and Domestic Teams to support school operations
  • Work closely with internal teams, professionals across Barnardo's, and external contacts
  • Maintain strong record-keeping practices to support evidence-based decision-making
  • Support the development and implementation of school policies and procedures
  • Ensure effective communication across all levels of the school
  • Contribute to the overall success of the school through proactive and independent work

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong record-keeping and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures in an educational environment

Preferred

  • Experience with budget management
  • Experience working within a special educational needs setting
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Experience with residential or boarding school environments
