The Opportunity:

As an Admissions Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the admissions process and ensuring a positive experience for prospective families. This is an outward-facing role that requires empathy, discretion, and a strong commitment to the school’s values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional support to the Head of Admissions.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of school tours, open mornings, and visits.
  • Engage confidently with visitors and communicate the school’s ethos and strengths.
  • Support administrative tasks including data entry, correspondence, and managing the admissions inbox.
  • Handle inquiries with sensitivity, particularly for families with additional needs or concerns.
  • Ensure a positive and personalised admissions experience for all families.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Confident IT user with proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems.
  • Calm and empathetic approach, especially when dealing with anxious families.
  • Team player with a flexible and can-do attitude.

Preferred

  • Experience in an educational or admissions setting.
  • Awareness and understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Previous experience in providing administrative support.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Term-time only contract with 32 academic weeks plus 2 weeks.
