The Opportunity:
As an Admissions Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the admissions and enrolment process for all applicants. You will provide high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) and ensure a welcoming and professional service at all times. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the admissions team and ensure all functions and processes are covered
- Oversee the screening and processing of applications in line with college procedures
- Liaise with potential learners and curriculum staff to arrange interviews and provide updates
- Ensure accurate and timely updating of applicant records on the Management Information System
- Supervise general administrative duties, including handling post, reception cover, and switchboard operation
- Support the organisation of open days, enrolment events, and other college recruitment activities
- Ensure data is entered, stored, and handled securely and confidentially
- Train and support Admissions Officers in team operations and procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (minimum grade C / Level 2)
- Experience of working in a busy administrative or customer service environment
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems
- Excellent communication, organisation, and team-working skills
- Ability to plan effectively and work to deadlines under pressure
- A positive, professional, and customer-focused approach
Preferred
- Experience in a supervisory or coordination role
- Experience of handling money and financial transactions
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends to support key college events
