The Opportunity:

As an Admissions Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the admissions and enrolment process for all applicants. You will provide high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) and ensure a welcoming and professional service at all times. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise the admissions team and ensure all functions and processes are covered
  • Oversee the screening and processing of applications in line with college procedures
  • Liaise with potential learners and curriculum staff to arrange interviews and provide updates
  • Ensure accurate and timely updating of applicant records on the Management Information System
  • Supervise general administrative duties, including handling post, reception cover, and switchboard operation
  • Support the organisation of open days, enrolment events, and other college recruitment activities
  • Ensure data is entered, stored, and handled securely and confidentially
  • Train and support Admissions Officers in team operations and procedures

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (minimum grade C / Level 2)
  • Experience of working in a busy administrative or customer service environment
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and team-working skills
  • Ability to plan effectively and work to deadlines under pressure
  • A positive, professional, and customer-focused approach

Preferred

  • Experience in a supervisory or coordination role
  • Experience of handling money and financial transactions
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends to support key college events
