As an Admissions Registrar, you will play a vital role in ensuring that students with special educational needs are matched with the best possible learning environment. You will work closely with academic and therapeutic staff to assess and support students, helping them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the admissions process, ensuring compliance with the school’s policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with academic and therapeutic staff to assess student needs and suitability for the school.
- Promote the school to prospective families and provide detailed information about the admissions process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all student applications and admissions.
- Support the Head of Admissions in managing the admissions team and ensuring a smooth transition for new students.
- Attend school events and meetings as required to support the admissions process.
- Ensure all safeguarding and compliance standards are met in all aspects of the role.
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Admissions and Headmaster on the progress of the admissions process.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Experience in special education needs or similar field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of admissions processes and procedures.
- Experience with special educational needs or related conditions.
- Experience in a leadership or team management role.
