The Opportunity:

As an Alumni and Development Coordinator, you will play a vital role in strengthening relationships between alumni and the school, creating opportunities for engagement, fundraising, and long-term support. This is a dynamic role that requires strong communication, organisational skills, and a passion for building community connections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage alumni both locally and nationally.
  • Manage communications and outreach initiatives to maintain strong alumni connections.
  • Coordinate events, campaigns, and fundraising activities to support the school’s mission.
  • Maintain and update databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date contact information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align development goals with school objectives.
  • Monitor and report on engagement metrics to measure the success of initiatives.
  • Support the school in building a network of supporters and future donors.
  • Ensure consistent and professional communication with alumni and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in alumni relations, fundraising, or development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in using PC software and database management systems.
  • High energy and a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in the education sector or non-profit organisations.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices.
  • Experience with event planning and management.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or donor management software.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of community engagement in education.
