The Opportunity:
As Alumni Engagement Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting bursary fundraising and alumni engagement initiatives. This is a varied and impactful role that offers hands-on experience in communications, events, and database administration. You will contribute to a school’s mission of advancing educational opportunity and social mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support fundraising efforts and bursary initiatives to advance educational opportunity.
- Manage communications and engagement strategies with alumni and stakeholders.
- Coordinate events and activities as part of the alumni and development programme.
- Maintain and update databases to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- Collaborate with the Development and Alumni Engagement team to deliver high-quality initiatives.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and alumni.
- Assist in the smooth running of day-to-day operations under the guidance of the Development Manager.
- Contribute to the delivery of major fundraising and stewardship projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm and motivation to make a difference in the lives of children and young people.
- Experience in a similar role or willingness to learn and develop within a supportive environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in fundraising, alumni engagement, or events management.
- Knowledge of database management systems.
- Experience with educational institutions or charitable organisations.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard hours as part of the engagement and events programme.
