The Opportunity:

As an AP Research Teacher, you will lead students in developing and presenting independent research projects, while also teaching Grade 12 English and supporting the Capstone Program. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach AP Research, guiding students through research development, execution, and presentation aligned with College Board standards.
  • Deliver Grade 12 English instruction focused on advanced reading, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons that promote real-world application and student-centered learning.
  • Mentor students on Capstone projects, ensuring academic rigor and research integrity.
  • Maintain updated course syllabi, assessments, and resources in line with school and College Board guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and program alignment.
  • Provide feedback and assessments that foster student growth and achievement.
  • Stay current with College Board AP curriculum frameworks and best practices in education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification or license.
  • Minimum of three years of teaching experience in English or a related subject at the secondary level.
  • Demonstrated understanding of AP Research or similar inquiry-based programs.
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and organizational skills.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience teaching AP Capstone (AP Seminar or AP Research).
  • Familiarity with College Board AP curriculum frameworks and international school settings.
