The Opportunity:

As an Apprentice Skills Coach in Automotive, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality training and assessment to learners. This is a chance to share your expertise and help shape the future of the next generation of automotive professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver training, assess, and quality assure work-based learning programmes in line with the school’s Apprenticeship Strategy.
  • Support learners through a range of teaching methodologies to ensure they achieve their full potential.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices, helping them develop the skills needed for sustained employment.
  • Work closely with employers to ensure training is aligned with industry standards and employer needs.
  • Ensure all assessments and verification processes are carried out accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong communication with learners, employers, and internal teams to support a positive learning experience.
  • Stay up to date with changes in the automotive industry and incorporate new knowledge into training delivery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training programmes and learner outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • NVQ Level 3 in Automotive.
  • Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2.
  • Relevant occupational experience in the automotive sector.
  • Enthusiasm, resilience, and a strong commitment to supporting learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in assessing or verifying roles.
  • Previous experience in teaching or training.
  • Knowledge of assessment qualifications such as A1, TAQA, or D32.
  • Experience with learner support and progression strategies.
