The Opportunity:
As an Apprentice Skills Coach in Automotive, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality training and assessment to learners. This is a chance to share your expertise and help shape the future of the next generation of automotive professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training, assess, and quality assure work-based learning programmes in line with the school’s Apprenticeship Strategy.
- Support learners through a range of teaching methodologies to ensure they achieve their full potential.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices, helping them develop the skills needed for sustained employment.
- Work closely with employers to ensure training is aligned with industry standards and employer needs.
- Ensure all assessments and verification processes are carried out accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong communication with learners, employers, and internal teams to support a positive learning experience.
- Stay up to date with changes in the automotive industry and incorporate new knowledge into training delivery.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of training programmes and learner outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- NVQ Level 3 in Automotive.
- Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2.
- Relevant occupational experience in the automotive sector.
- Enthusiasm, resilience, and a strong commitment to supporting learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in assessing or verifying roles.
- Previous experience in teaching or training.
- Knowledge of assessment qualifications such as A1, TAQA, or D32.
- Experience with learner support and progression strategies.
