The Opportunity:

As an Arabic Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education within a forward-thinking IB environment. You will inspire students, support their academic and personal development, and contribute to a school culture that values creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging Arabic A&B lessons that align with IB standards and student needs.
  • Develop and implement inquiry-based learning strategies to promote student-centered learning.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages all students to reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to teaching and learning.
  • Assess student progress effectively and use data to inform instruction and support learning outcomes.
  • Participate in school-wide events and community activities, contributing to a positive and vibrant school culture.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and students to support student success and well-being.
  • Continuously reflect on and improve teaching practices through professional development and peer collaboration.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Arabic Language or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience teaching in a reputable school.
  • Experience with Arabic A and/or Arabic B teaching.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a track record of building professional relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient/advanced-level English language skills.
  • A track record of outstanding student results and a commitment to student success.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB programme.
  • Knowledge of assessment and its use in the classroom.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan rich, engaging, and challenging learning experiences.
  • Inter-cultural awareness and enthusiasm for working with diverse students and families.
