Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art and Design Technology lessons that engage and challenge students.

  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities and school events that celebrate art and design.
  • Support students in developing technical skills and a passion for the subject.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Art and Technology Faculty to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Art and Design Technology.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art and Design Technology.
  • Strong knowledge of Art and Design Technology curriculum and pedagogy.
  • Ability to teach Textiles is an advantage.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive approach to student engagement and curriculum development.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering creative and practical lessons.
  • Involvement in extra-curricular activities or community projects.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
