The Opportunity:
As an Art and Design Technology Technician, you will play a key role in supporting students to explore their creativity and develop practical skills. You will contribute to a dynamic, collaborative environment that values innovation and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a well-resourced environment for Art and Design Technology lessons
- Support students in developing their creative and technical skills through hands-on learning
- Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons
- Ensure health and safety standards are upheld in all practical activities
- Assist in the planning and delivery of off-site trips and museum learning experiences
- Work closely with the SEND Support Team to provide tailored support for students
- Contribute to the development of super curricular clubs and extracurricular activities
- Promote a positive and inclusive culture that encourages student confidence and self-expression
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience in Art and Design Technology or a related field
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and support staff
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being
- Experience in using a range of Art and Design Technology equipment and materials
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or educational setting
- Knowledge of museum learning resources and their application in teaching
- Experience with supporting students with special educational needs
- Familiarity with curriculum development and innovative teaching approaches
