The Opportunity:

As an Art and Design Technology Technician, you will play a key role in supporting students to explore their creativity and develop practical skills. You will contribute to a dynamic, collaborative environment that values innovation and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a well-resourced environment for Art and Design Technology lessons
  • Support students in developing their creative and technical skills through hands-on learning
  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons
  • Ensure health and safety standards are upheld in all practical activities
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of off-site trips and museum learning experiences
  • Work closely with the SEND Support Team to provide tailored support for students
  • Contribute to the development of super curricular clubs and extracurricular activities
  • Promote a positive and inclusive culture that encourages student confidence and self-expression

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in Art and Design Technology or a related field
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and support staff
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being
  • Experience in using a range of Art and Design Technology equipment and materials

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of museum learning resources and their application in teaching
  • Experience with supporting students with special educational needs
  • Familiarity with curriculum development and innovative teaching approaches
