Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Art & Design lessons that foster creativity and artistic exploration among pupils.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that raise attainment and engage students.
- Contribute to the school’s co-curricular programme by organising and participating in art exhibitions and showcases.
- Provide constructive feedback to pupils, supporting their confidence and passion for art.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance the learning experience for all students.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline in the classroom.
- Stay up to date with developments in Art & Design education and integrate new techniques and technologies into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching Art & Design, with a track record of raising attainment.
- Ability to teach a range of art disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
- Strong communication skills and a clear sense of moral purpose.
- Commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Background in photography and digital art.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
- Previous involvement in school exhibitions or showcases.
- Familiarity with research-based teaching methods and professional development.
