The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Art & Design and Design & Technology Teacher to join a dynamic department. This role involves teaching across key stages, with a focus on inspiring students and delivering high-quality learning experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Art & Design and Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities for KS5.
- Support students in developing practical and theoretical skills in both subjects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and student outcomes.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
- Stay up to date with developments in Art & Design and Design & Technology education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art & Design and/or Design & Technology.
- Ability to teach across key stages, with a willingness to develop expertise in both subjects.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student well-being and academic success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering KS5 qualifications.
- Familiarity with industry-standard design and technology practices.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Demonstrated success in inspiring student creativity and engagement.
