The Opportunity:

As an Art Teacher, you will inspire and challenge students across all age ranges, delivering a curriculum that fosters creativity and academic success. You will play a key role in shaping the artistic development of students and contributing to the school’s mission of empowering both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Art lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England, GCSEs/IGCSEs, and the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Encourage students to set ambitious goals and embrace innovative teaching methods.
  • Act as a form tutor and participate in the school’s care and guidance programme.
  • Contribute to co-curricular activities and extracurricular events.
  • Promote the school’s vision and values through active engagement with students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the learning experience.
  • Maintain a classroom culture that fosters creativity, motivation, and personal investment.
  • Support the development of students’ artistic talents and prepare them for success in the IB Diploma Programme.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Art or a related field.
  • A valid teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Art in an international school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for England, GCSEs/IGCSEs, and the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Experience in delivering Visual Arts up to Higher Level in the IB Diploma Programme.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching practices.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience in form tutoring and student guidance.
  • Ability to engage parents and the wider school community.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into teaching.
