As an Art Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring young people through creative expression and helping them develop confidence, self-expression, and a lifelong appreciation of the arts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured, and differentiated Art lessons
  • Support pupils in achieving ability-appropriate qualifications and outcomes
  • Inspire confidence, curiosity, and creativity across year groups
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform planning and targets
  • Differentiate teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs
  • Use ICT and digital tools to enhance learning where appropriate
  • Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment
  • Contribute to pupils’ social, moral, and cultural development
  • Build strong, professional relationships with parents and carers
  • Support Teaching Assistants to maximize student engagement

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Art within a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of effective and high-quality classroom practice

Preferred

  • Experience working with students who have autism or special educational needs
  • Experience in developing and delivering creative, inclusive curricula
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches and de-escalation techniques
