The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art lessons across Key Stages to nurture student creativity and confidence.
  • Plan and assess student work in line with curriculum standards and learning outcomes.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of the Art curriculum.
  • Support the school’s wider community through enrichment activities, exhibitions, and creative events.
  • Collaborate with the Art department to share best practices and maintain high teaching standards.
  • Promote student engagement through creative projects and extracurricular opportunities.
  • Ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment that supports all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Art and a passion for teaching.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality Art lessons to students across Key Stages.
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching and student well-being.
  • Ability to plan and assess student work effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Experience with enrichment activities or extracurricular Art programs.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and digital tools in Art education.
  • Experience working in a school with a strong focus on student behavior and academic outcomes.
