The Opportunity:

As an Artificial Intelligence Academic, you will play a key role in supporting the school’s digital and AI strategy, enhancing staff and pupil understanding of AI and its broader implications. This is a unique opportunity to shape and expand AI provision in line with the school’s academic standards and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and delivery of AI-related educational initiatives for staff and students.
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to integrate AI concepts into the curriculum.
  • Promote awareness of AI, its benefits, risks, and ethical considerations across the school.
  • Contribute to the school’s digital transformation and innovation in teaching and learning.
  • Engage with students to inspire curiosity and critical thinking around AI and related technologies.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to align AI provision with the school’s strategic goals.
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing research in AI and education.
  • Develop resources and training materials to support AI education across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in a related subject.
  • A genuine interest in AI as a contemporary academic discipline.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and listening skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate initiative.
  • A desire to enrich the intellectual experience of pupils beyond exam specifications.

Preferred

  • Experience in AI research, teaching, or postdoctoral work.
  • A current doctoral or postdoctoral researcher in AI or related fields.
  • Experience in curriculum development or educational innovation.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies relevant to education.
