The Opportunity:

As an Aspirations Pathway Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting students with specific needs, working closely with the SENCO and contributing to their academic and personal development. This is a fixed-term opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, preparation, and delivery of learning and support programmes for students with specific needs.
  • Assist in promoting social and emotional development and encouraging independence in students.
  • Work with whole classes, small groups, or individual students as required.
  • Implement strategies to create a safe, secure, and challenging learning environment.
  • Recognise and reward student achievement in line with school values.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure consistent and effective support for students.
  • Maintain accurate records and report progress to the SENCO and teaching staff.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities provided by the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with students who have special educational needs or an EHCP.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of self-worth, engagement, and purpose.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in education or a related field.
  • Training or experience in supporting students with social and emotional development.
  • Familiarity with TDA standards for higher level teaching assistants.
