The Opportunity:
The Assistant Director of Activities plays a pivotal role in supporting the school’s comprehensive co-curricular programme, which includes arts, athletics, and after-school activities. This position requires a highly motivated individual who can provide leadership, coordination, and strategic support to ensure the success of all co-curricular initiatives and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate Youth Sports and After School Activities (ASAs) programs
- Oversee the management of the UNIS Hanoi Summer Programme and Saturday morning activities
- Coordinate and manage internal arts programs, including the UNIS Music Academy and theatre productions
- Support the athletic program and manage vendor relations, including representation with the Phoenix Booster Club
- Manage facility operations and liaise with the Community Programme coordinator for campus use
- Coordinate event logistics for HAC, APAC, and MRISA conferences
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with the Director of Activities and other stakeholders
- Support equipment management, inventory control, and operational tasks
- Provide leadership and supervision during weekend events and in the absence of the Director of Activities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor's degree (M.A./M.Ed./M.Sc. preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in activity office leadership and management
- Experience with organizational software such as Schools Buddy and Veracross
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in developing and implementing youth development programs
- Experience in event management, including international events
- Experience with financial record keeping and budget management
Preferred
- Previous experience as an Athletic Director, Physical Education Head, Activities Coordinator, or Arts Director
- Experience in an international school setting
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Experience as a sponsor or leader of student or community programs
- NIAAA certification
