Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the science curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of all learners.
- Support and coach colleagues to achieve individual and collective targets.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of science teaching and learning across the school.
- Implement innovative and creative approaches to engage and inspire students.
- Work closely with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement in student outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience.
- Develop and deliver professional development opportunities for science staff.
- Ensure all teaching and learning activities align with the school’s mission and values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
- Proven ability to teach to GCSE standard.
- Experience of leading and managing a faculty.
- Demonstrated ability to improve standards and raise pupil outcomes.
- Strong organisational and motivational skills.
Preferred
- Experience of working in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Experience of coaching and mentoring colleagues.
- Experience of delivering outstanding attainment and achievement in science.
- Familiarity with leadership and innovation in education.
