The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Director of Sport and Exercise, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering an ambitious development plan for the department. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young women through sport and physical education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Sport & Exercise in developing and implementing a dynamic and inclusive sport programme.
  • Deliver high-quality sport and exercise lessons and coaching, with a particular focus on netball.
  • Foster a culture of enthusiasm, commitment, and excellence among students and staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to student development.
  • Promote the physical and mental well-being of students through sport and exercise.
  • Manage and maintain sport facilities and equipment to the highest standards.
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in a wide range of sporting activities.
  • Contribute to the development of staff through training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong passion for sport and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Proven experience in teaching and coaching sport, preferably at a high level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to the holistic development of young women.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering sport programmes for young women.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in sport and physical education.
  • Experience with leadership and mentoring in a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate or similar educational frameworks.
