Join a newly formed English team as an Assistant Curriculum Leader and help shape the future of English education. You will support the Curriculum Leader in delivering a dynamic and impactful curriculum that empowers students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Curriculum Leader in developing and delivering a high-quality English curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design stimulating and engaging lessons that promote active learning.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure continuous improvement in teaching and learning outcomes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the personal development of all students.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and professional development within the English department.
- Work with the leadership team to implement school-wide initiatives that enhance student achievement and engagement.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to teaching staff to support their professional growth.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities related to English.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong subject knowledge in English and a genuine passion for teaching.
- Experience in a leadership or support role within a school setting.
- Commitment to raising student achievement and driving continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
Preferred
- Experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Curriculum Leader or Deputy Head of Department.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or English Language teaching.
- Familiarity with The Learning Partnership and its values.
- Experience in leading or supporting professional development initiatives.
- Experience in managing and mentoring teaching staff.
