The Opportunity:

As the Assistant Head - Director of Digital Learning, you will lead and shape the school's digital strategy, ensuring that technology enhances teaching and learning across all age groups. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of digital learning strategies across the school.
  • Champion the use of technology to enhance pedagogy and student engagement.
  • Support and train teaching staff in the effective use of digital tools and resources.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with the school’s educational goals and Quaker values.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of digital initiatives on student outcomes and staff development.
  • Manage a teaching load in a subject currently offered at the school.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in digital learning.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and data protection standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching and learning, with a strong understanding of digital pedagogy.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT systems and digital learning platforms.
  • Ability to align digital initiatives with the school’s values and mission.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience in senior leadership roles within education.
  • Background in developing and managing digital learning strategies.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or other innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Quaker principles and values.
