The Opportunity:
As Assistant Head of Early Years Foundation Stage, you will lead and inspire a team dedicated to nurturing young learners in a supportive, innovative environment. This role is pivotal in shaping the academic and social development of children, ensuring seamless transitions to Key Stage 1 and upholding the highest standards of early education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum in line with the 2021 framework.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of provision, using data to drive continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with children, parents, and staff to enhance engagement and collaboration.
- Inspire and motivate teaching staff to achieve excellence in practice and outcomes.
- Develop and implement effective assessment strategies that support student progress and achievement.
- Create and maintain stimulating, safe, and high-quality learning environments for young children.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to ensure alignment with school-wide goals and policies.
- Provide guidance and support to early years practitioners in their professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Proven record of outstanding teaching and innovative curriculum delivery in EYFS.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework 2021.
- Experience in monitoring provision and using data to improve outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
- Strong parental engagement strategies and home-school collaboration experience.
Preferred
- Experience in an international school setting.
- Evidence of successful implementation of assessment methods that drive student achievement.
- Creativity in delivering a broad and relevant EYFS curriculum.
- Confidence in using ICT and data strategically to enhance learning.
- Experience in leading and inspiring staff to achieve excellence.

- Two-year renewable contract with competitive salary.
