The Opportunity:

The Assistant Head of Elementary plays a key role in supporting the Head of Elementary in managing the academic and operational needs of the department. This position ensures the consistent delivery of a world-class curriculum and promotes a positive learning environment for students in Grades 1–5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily operations and classroom supervision.
  • Assist in lesson observation, teacher mentoring, and feedback cycles.
  • Oversee class schedules, cover plans, and substitute teacher coordination.
  • Monitor student progress and discipline cases at the class level.
  • Facilitate parent communication and meetings when required.
  • Lead assemblies, student activities, and special events.
  • Support onboarding and professional development of new teachers.
  • Step in as acting Head during absence of the Head of Elementary.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an educational leadership role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Knowledge of international curriculum standards
  • Russian language as a second or native

Preferred

  • Experience in a multicultural or international school setting
  • Leadership experience in a school or educational environment
  • Familiarity with student welfare and behavior management strategies
