As an Assistant Head of MYP, you will play a key role in managing the academic and pastoral aspects of the Middle Years Programme. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking educational institution that values collaboration, leadership, and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of MYP in coordinating the implementation of the IB MYP framework.
  • Assist in organizing interdisciplinary units, project weeks, and assessment strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate lesson plans, teacher collaboration, and MYP documentation.
  • Coordinate student discipline, attendance, and pastoral support initiatives.
  • Manage communication with parents and staff regarding MYP expectations and policies.
  • Oversee timetable management, resource planning, and substitute teacher arrangements.
  • Contribute to teacher training and curriculum review processes.
  • Represent the MYP department in leadership meetings and school-wide events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
  • Experience in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) or similar curriculum frameworks.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines effectively.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with IB philosophy and standards.
  • Leadership experience in a departmental or grade-level coordination role.
  • Proficiency in Russian as a Second Language.
