The Opportunity:
As Assistant Headteacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of Key Stage 1 and Early Years students. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for Key Stage 1 and Early Years.
- Oversee the design and delivery of a curriculum that supports the developmental needs of early learners.
- Lead professional development initiatives to enhance teaching practices and pedagogical innovation.
- Support teachers in delivering high-quality instruction and using assessment data to personalize learning.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice among staff.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students, working closely with the SENCO.
- Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
- Assist in the management of school operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and safeguarding procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven leadership experience in Key Stage 1 and/or Early Years settings.
- In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and drive educational excellence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on collaborative leadership.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership.
- Background in school management or operational leadership.
- Experience with international education standards and practices.
- Fluency in multiple languages or cross-cultural experience.
