Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a specific area of the school’s operations with a focus on continuous improvement and student achievement.
  • Support the Headteacher in developing and implementing school policies and strategies.
  • Oversee the performance and professional development of teaching and support staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate academic outcomes and ensure that all students receive a high-quality education.
  • Represent the school at meetings, conferences, and community events.
  • Promote and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the school’s mission and values are upheld across all aspects of school life.
  • Manage and lead a team of staff to achieve the school’s educational and operational goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within education.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes and school performance.
  • A relevant teaching qualification and leadership training.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching practices and curriculum development.
  • Experience in leading whole-school initiatives or projects.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Experience in working with diverse student and staff populations.
