The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Headteacher Raising Standards Lead KS3 Transition, you will play a pivotal role in driving improvement and raising standards across Key Stage 3. You will lead transition programs and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure a seamless and effective learning journey for students. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in shaping the future of education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop strategies to raise standards and improve outcomes for all students, especially at Key Stage 3
  • Deliver and manage whole school transition programs to support student progression and readiness for secondary education
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to drive school improvement and innovation
  • Develop an inclusive and forward-looking culture that supports high standards of teaching and learning
  • Support the Deputy Head in managing pastoral and academic responsibilities across the school
  • Oversee performance reviews and contribute to school self-evaluation and improvement planning
  • Promote a positive school climate and attitudes to learning
  • Ensure the effective implementation of inclusive learning and teaching practices

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a teacher and leader within a school setting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage school improvement initiatives
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire colleagues and students
  • Experience in planning and delivering strategic learning and teaching programs
  • A clear vision for raising standards and improving student achievement

Preferred

  • Experience in leading Key Stage 3 curriculum development
  • Background in transition planning and student readiness programs
  • Experience in school culture development and innovation
  • Strong understanding of school improvement and self-evaluation processes
