Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop teaching and learning strategies across the school, ensuring alignment with the school’s vision and goals.
- Monitor, evaluate, and enhance the quality of teaching through robust performance management and professional development.
- Support the implementation of literacy initiatives and ensure a consistent focus on academic progress and achievement.
- Work closely with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher to translate the Trust’s vision into meaningful, measurable impact.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive school culture, championing safeguarding, inclusion, and high aspirations.
- Engage with families, governors, and the wider community to support student success and school improvement.
- Analyze and interpret data to set ambitious targets and demonstrate whole-school impact.
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure continuous improvement in teaching and learning across all departments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a secondary school setting.
- A strong track record of improving student outcomes and developing teaching staff.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor, evaluate, and enhance the quality of teaching.
- Experience in managing and leading professional development initiatives.
- Strong understanding of data analysis and its application in educational settings.
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion, with the ability to champion these values across the school.
Preferred
- Experience in literacy development and curriculum leadership.
- Familiarity with multi-academy trust structures and collaborative working practices.
- Experience with performance management and school improvement strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Experience in leading whole-school improvement initiatives.
