The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Inclusion Manager, you will support the implementation of inclusive education policies and behaviour systems across the school. This role is ideal for a proactive and compassionate professional looking to make a meaningful impact on student behaviour and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of inclusive education policies and practices in line with the school’s values.
  • Work closely with the Inclusion Manager and senior staff to ensure consistent behaviour expectations and responses.
  • Provide direct behavioural support, mentoring and intervention for identified pupils.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support inclusive classroom practice and positive learning environments.
  • Support communication and engagement with parents to promote inclusion and pupil progress.
  • Assist in delivering staff support or CPD around behaviour management and inclusion.
  • Liaise with external agencies and specialists to support pupils with additional needs.
  • Support the coordination and daily operation of behaviour systems and interventions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Ideally educated to degree level in an education-related or relevant field.
  • Previous experience working with pupils requiring behavioural or pastoral support.
  • A good understanding of inclusion, behaviour management and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow systems and procedures accurately.

Preferred

  • Experience with behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Experience in a school setting with a focus on inclusion and pastoral care.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
