The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Principal – Behaviour and Culture, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a positive and successful school culture. This is a strategic and collaborative role, focused on driving high performance, achievement, and a strong sense of community across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a culture of high expectations, integrity, and respect among students and staff.
  • Implement and monitor behavior policies, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team in driving the school’s mission of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams to enhance student well-being and attendance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff in promoting the school’s core values.
  • Develop and deliver training programs focused on behavior management and cultural development.
  • Collaborate with external partners and agencies to support students with additional needs.
  • Ensure consistent and effective communication across the school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • An Honours Degree and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Proven experience in middle or senior leadership within a school setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive successful and sustained impact in an educational environment.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development with a strong leadership or management focus.

Preferred

  • Experience in behaviour management, attendance, or SEND specialism.
  • Strong record in fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Experience in leading and managing large teams.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Experience in working with the Creative Education Trust or similar organizations.
