The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Principal, you will play a key role in driving the school’s continued success and supporting the development of both staff and students. This is a leadership role that offers the chance to make a real impact in a school that consistently delivers outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Headteacher in leading and managing the school’s academic and pastoral priorities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve teaching and learning across the school.
  • Manage and mentor staff, providing professional development and leadership opportunities.
  • Oversee the delivery of the school’s leadership programme and character development initiatives.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the school maintains its high standards and Ofsted rating.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, excellence, and community engagement.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, attainment, and well-being.
  • Represent the school in meetings, inspections, and community events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Proven experience in managing a high-achieving faculty.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver sustained academic excellence and high attainment.
  • Strong commitment to the values of the school and the Star Academies network.

Preferred

  • Experience in senior leadership or middle leadership roles.
  • Experience in leading or supporting leadership development programmes.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education and community engagement initiatives.
