The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Principal, you will play a pivotal role in driving standards and supporting the leadership team. This is a leadership role with teaching responsibilities, offering the chance to shape the future of a high-performing primary school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and model outstanding classroom practice while supporting the development of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Work closely with the Head of Academy and Executive Principal to ensure effective leadership and management of the academy.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of provision, inclusion, and achievement for all pupils.
  • Use data effectively to drive progress and improve outcomes for students.
  • Support the implementation of the school’s personal development program and Thrive approach.
  • Provide proactive support to senior leadership and academy teams.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the school and its continued success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in primary education.
  • Proven leadership experience, preferably in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong classroom practice and a track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Excellent data analysis and evaluation skills.
  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar structure.

Preferred

  • Experience in school improvement or leading change initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the Thrive approach or similar personal development programs.
  • Experience in leading or supporting staff development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
