The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Assistant Principal to lead and inspire in a supportive educational environment. This role is vital to the school’s mission of providing high-quality education to children from a diverse background, with a focus on improving student outcomes and fostering a positive learning culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the school’s development plan and strategic goals.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to staff and students, promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Work closely with the principal to drive improvements in student achievement and outcomes.
  • Engage effectively with parents and carers to support student learning and progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and respect for all.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A successful record of teaching with strong examination results at KS1 or KS2.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Outstanding classroom practice and experience.
  • A positive and optimistic approach to working with young people.
  • Ability to set high expectations and challenge under-achievement while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Evidence of impact in improving student outcomes at subject or whole-school level.

Preferred

  • Experience in Early Years or as a SENCo.
  • Experience of working in disadvantaged communities or with vulnerable children.
