As an Assistant Principal, you will play a key role in shaping the future of specialist education. You will lead curriculum innovation, teaching and learning, and quality assurance across a dynamic post-16 provision. This is a strategic leadership role with the potential to make a real difference in the lives of students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive excellence in teaching and learning, maintaining a high-quality educational environment for students.
- Lead curriculum development and pedagogy with creativity and ambition.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership support for curriculum management and delivery.
- Oversee quality assurance, assessment, and staff development.
- Collaborate with the Principal and senior leadership team to embed inclusion, creativity, and enterprise.
- Ensure high expectations for all students across the school.
- Work closely with the Principal and senior leadership team on strategic improvement planning and self-evaluation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher status with experience in curriculum development.
- Demonstrable experience in a leadership role, ideally in a SEND setting.
- Calm and adaptable approach, able to inspire and lead students and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.
Preferred
- Experience in quality assurance and assessment.
- Strong data analysis skills to drive improvement and innovation.
- Experience in strategic planning and self-evaluation processes.
