Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of teaching and learning strategies across the school
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to drive school improvement and raise standards
  • Manage and mentor staff to ensure high-quality teaching and student outcomes
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes student well-being and achievement
  • Oversee pastoral care and support systems for students
  • Develop and implement policies that align with the school’s vision and values
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a consistent and high-quality educational experience
  • Monitor and report on student progress and attainment across all key stages

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a proven track record in education
  • Experience in a leadership or management role within a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development and pedagogy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents

Preferred

  • Experience in Geography teaching or curriculum leadership
  • Familiarity with multi-academy trust structures and operations
  • Experience in school improvement or leading change initiatives
  • A passion for developing innovative teaching resources and strategies
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support
