Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of a high-quality science curriculum.
- Mentor and develop science staff to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure effective cross-departmental working.
- Monitor and assess student progress to inform curriculum improvements.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of science resources and teaching approaches.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Work closely with the Science department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
- Participate in staff development and training initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
- Proven ability to lead and support colleagues in a school setting.
- Strong classroom practice and a commitment to student achievement.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership role within a school.
- Familiarity with co-curricular and extracurricular provision.
- Experience with inclusive teaching practices and student wellbeing initiatives.
- Knowledge of current Science teaching methodologies and resources.
